Who Wants a Float?

Here I am, trying to figure out this whole blog thing.  It's slightly confusing, as is any new technology for me.  Do you remember laughing at your parents when you were younger and them cursing at all the "new fangled" technology in the 80s and 90s?  Oh the computers, fancy calculators, and what about those watches you could play Pac Man on?  Those were so cool.

I'm afraid I've become my parents.  When did technology become so scary and when did it happen that I need to take a class for the new technology that comes out.  All I used to have to do was read the manual for 6 or 7 hours and I knew how to run something.  Now, I just say to my son, "Hey G, can you set this thing up for me and teach me how to use it?"

I'm not kidding you when I say that it has taken me nearly 3 years to figure out how to run the remote to the TV in conjunction with my non-Blu-Ray player and the Wii.  Some days it still takes me at least 5 minutes to get everything running the right way and on the right wave length thingy on the remote.  It's rather entertaining to watch, really.  The most embarrassing thing was buying a touch screen phone and not being able to turn it off!  My son looked at me with that famous, "you're so lame" look and said, "Hand it to me."  Then he oh, so calmly, turned to phone towards me and slid the arrow to the other side of the screen.  HOW WAS I TO KNOW??

So I'm here trying to figure out eBlogger.  I have this fancy shmancy page in my mind that I want to create but I think I'm going to have to get some pointers from those who have gone before me before it gets set up the way I want it to be set up.

Alllll this blogging is making me hungry, who wants an ice cream float?  MEEEE!  What's your favorite float?

My all time favorite is a Coke Float but I haven't met a float I haven't liked yet.  My newest love is Rum Chatta and Diet Root Beer.  It's like a Root Beer Float for adults without the cream that will just layer itself right to my gut, thighs and butt.

My past and present float loves:

Coffee Float (vanilla ice cream floating in warm coffee)
Coffee Float (coffee Haagen Dasz floating in warm coffee)
Strawberry Float ( vanilla ice cream with Strawberry Crush)
Root Beer Float (vanilla ice cream with A&W Root Beer)

Have you ever heard of a beer float?  One morning one of the radio stations was talking about them and not surprisingly, many men have tried beer floats and admitted that they aren't bad.  To me it's just as unlikely that I try a beer float as I would try a green olive float.  YUCK!

But I have to admit, now I wonder what Rum Chatta and vanilla ice cream as a float would taste like.  Rum Chatta is great in a lot of things, trust me.  Hot chocolate, french toast, french toast casserole, Diet Root Beer, and the BEST EVER, coffee.  I'm sad that drinking before work is frowned upon.  If it weren't I think I would have a shot of Rum Chatta in my coffee every single morning.  YUMMMMMM.

Well, I'm off to get some ice cream and turn in for the night.  I'll try to figure out this new fangled technology tomorrow when my son can watch the spectacle and laugh at me then reflect on this when he's my age and struggling with technology himself.  Although, I can't really imagine that happening.
